WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT

FOR ME

This is what trekking is ;

not just walking for six hours , see view and taking PICTURES.

Its about connecting between you and the place.Understand the culture not by hearing but by practicing it.Not just drinking TEA but see how they produce and be apart of it.Not arriving to village at 4 pm, but spend and enjoy our time on the way.

I make sure we are not disturbing them.You can obviously tell on their face or reaction.One of the best thing about Myanmar is the PEOPLE.Myanmar people always have smile on their face and very friendly.Most travellers i met,all said the same thing.It is true and i am very proud of being Myanmar citizen in this beautiful country.But the sad thing is tourism can change people.I am scared its gonna be like Thailand one day. Whenever i am on hike,i make sure me and my customers pay respect to them in their village.There are different type of travellers,some dont know how to act and very some are just stupid.Its pros and cons.It is very good for their income.Tourists has been visited this kalaw trek the past 25 years (kalaw-inle is more than 10 years)since my father was a guide back that time.At the old path of the  trek,i see some of the villages are very used to tourists and tired of seeing.The children dont go to school sometimes and wait on our trekking path and ask for food BECAUSE tourists gave them before so they remembered.Its understandable when u dont know how to act.As me myself loves travelling and experience different things,i started looked for new routes and new villages.It takes time of course and i am still looking.Check whats my routes like and i will be adding updates.This is my idea,In our trek we are not just going to take pictures but really talk and share with them.Oh,these villagers love to know what your country like,what's ur job,why r u white,they really want to talk with you.If u r willing,we have time at evening u can share or teach them english.Its better than giving candy or snack,and please dont give any sweet to the children.Along the trek,we will see people picking,growing, preparing land,harvesting,working in farm and  we can try and help them for a bit.My customers love it a lot.And you definitely put a smile on their face.But its ur choice to help them or not.And we have a cooking lessons for small local dish,like making tea leaf salad,chilli curry,make flower salad we picked from trek.

It is a very fun,learning more about tribe in Myanmar,in touch with locals and the scenery is of course amazing.

For these its all depend to ur guide.Me and Aye Aye(my friend)we are very happy to share with you guys.
